Format for Friday Magic the Gathering tournaments

All FNM events are official Wizards events. *Additional promos given away for merely attending, based upon availability.

Every Friday of every month, 6pm to around 9:30 pm: Official Friday Night Magic tournaments. Standard Format. $FREE!  FNM Promos for top 3 players*.

Since FNM is going strongly now what would people thing of something like say a $1 entry to give a couple packs out as prizes? Naturally I'm for it but not everyone plays the way I do.

 One of the reasons why FNM is going so well is because there's no buy-in. People know that they can just roll in with their deck and nothing else and have a chance at winning some shiny cards.
